The sky, clouds, apple, and framed structures in the left panel reference visual motifs commonly found in the paintings of René Magritte.
Yet this citation is not merely about imagery; rather, it functions as a device to evoke the concept of the “uncanny within the familiar.”
As a result, the scene transforms into a threshold space — at once grounded in reality and resistant to explanation, where perception itself lingers.

A butterfly, crossing the center, does not seek to connect or divide the two worlds.
Instead, it hovers momentarily between them — suspending the viewer’s gaze and offering not spatial orientation, but sensation as the true boundary.
